2011 Spring Break Ski Trip to Colorado

We took a whirlwind vacation to ski in Colorado. Kyle played in the 8th Grade State Basketball tournament the first weekend of the boys Spring Break. After the tournament, we went home for a day, packed and hit the highway.

We drove to Colorado nearly straight-through and decided our first day of skiing would be in SteamBoat Springs.

We did know that the Xavier High School Ski Club had their ski trip planned for Spring Break in Colorado and it didn't take long for Erik to determine that they would be in Breckenridge the next day. Day number 2 of skiing was thus determined....Breckenridge it was!

We had a beautiful day of skiing but Tim and Roxanne's age is beginning to show. Tim had cramps so bad by mid afternoon, his skiing was completed. The famly skied the reamindeer of the day. They relaxed that eveining visitng a great little Pizza place (can't recall its name right now) and spend the evening relaxing.

The next day, they hit the road for a return trip. That sure sounds like (and was) a lot of driving for two days of skiing but everyone had fun!
