2014 Badgers v Arizona Elite 8 Game

Sometimes you get lucky! Roxanne, Tim and Kyle were on college visit tour to colleges in California on, what turned out to be, the same weekend that the Wisconsin Badgers were playing in the Sweet 16/Elite 8 weekend of the 2014 NCAA basketball tourney. Our plans were to fly into Ontario, California on Friday morning and the Sweet 16 game was in Anaheim on Thursday evening. I looked into changing our flights but…between the air fare change fees, extra day hotel and tickets, that change would have cost me over $1500. Needless to say, we kept our Friday morning plans but cheered just a little harder Thursday night. The Badgers won Thursday and Stub Hub became our friend by providing us tickets Saturday evening at the Honda Center in Anaheim to see the Elite 8 game of the Wisconsin Badgers versus the Arizona Wildcats.

We did our best to dress in our Badger Red but were completely outnumbered by the Arizona fans! My friend Liz, a Los Angeles resident but UofArizona grad kept texting me throughout the entire game.

But the best part was….a VERY close game and BADGER WIN in another Overtime Game!!!!!

We hung around to see the nets get cut down and celebrate like only Wisconsin fans can!!!!
