2018 Oct 6-7 Motorcycle ride Northern Wisconsin

Rox and Tim decided that they needed to take the new motorcycle on its maiden voyage. We were joined by our friends, Fred and Karen Stumpf, and got on the bikes to check out the fall colors. I think this may be the closest to “prime colors” that we’ve ever seen in northern Wisconsin. The sites and colors were fantastic.

On Saturday, we stopped at Three Lakes Winery with the intention of checking out the wine. We ended up signing up for a tour of a cranberry bog that was in the midst of harvest; this proved really interesting and fun. After the tour, we got to task 6 different wines along with complementary cheeses. Of course, we ended up filling up the bags on the motorcycles with bottles of Cranberry wine.

We stayed in Minocqua but the last 45 minute drive in 39 degree temperatures was a bit chilly. I was totally fine parking the bike for the winter after that ride! It was cold.
