2021 Winter of Fun - Florida Keys - Key West

My sister Tina and her husband Dennis came to Florida to visit us and our main get-away was to head to the Keys. Tina and Dennis could not have timed their Wisconsin departure any better as temperatures dropped to near 20 below zero and the temperature in Key West was between 85 and 87 every day! We began calling them the "heat makers" but Tina said that sounded too sexy!

We spent about 3 solid days on Key West. For those that have never done it, make sure you fly into Miami so you can drive the 100 miles from Key Largo out to Key West. We went snorkeling out of John Pennekamp State Park near Key Largo, took a sunset cruise off the west coast of Key West and just enjoyed roaming up and down Duvall Street on Key West.

For those that haven't been in Key West, there are chickens and roosters roaming freely throughout the island. Its really weird but fun....except when those damn things start crooning at 5:00am!!!!
